MEDICAL MASSAGE • 55 minutes/$170 (insurance contracted rates accepted)
Medical massage is based on techniques used to improve disorders of the body. A perfect companion to a chiropractic adjustment, physical therapy and other non-invasive treatments. This massage speeds relief from chronic pain, recovery from a work-related injury or auto accident, and healing after surgery. Medical massage releases tight, fatigued and sore muscles and joints, so they are easier to manipulate, position and strengthen. Ice, heat, stretching and other hydrotherapies often included at no extra charge. Techniques will be used may include neuromuscular, myofascial, pin and stretch, trigger and pressure points.
This service is most often doctor prescribed and authorized for insurance reimbursement for medical necessity. Please check your insurance benefits for the massage therapy code 97124. Consultation, billing, delayed payments, daily charting, progress notes, reports to insurance and referring providers are a part of this protocol.
